LA DA seeks Weinstein extradition, accomplice not charged
In a motion filed by LA prosecutors in January, a woman identified only as a “female acquaintance” of one of Weinstein’s alleged victims, is accused of accompanying Weinstein and the woman to a business meeting at a hotel eatery and later to Weinstein’s hotel suite, where the “accomplice” is alleged to have locked the woman in the bathroom with the producer.

Moments after a new New York judge sentenced Harvey Weinstein to serve a 23-year prison term on a rape and sex assault conviction, the Los Angeles County DA began the process of extraditing the disgraced filmmaker to face California charges.
District Attorney Jackie Lacey, who filed the charges in January, said she would work with New York prosecutors on making arrangements for Weinstein to come to Los Angeles.
