Jury awards South Korean patent company $7.5M in USB thumb drive dispute

Pavo Solutions Inc. won $7.55M in damages in a patent infringement case against Kingston Technology LLC Thursday in the U.S. District Court - Southern Division following a week-long jury trial.

A South Korean patent holding company won $7.5 million against Kingston Technology LLC in a dispute over a USB thumb drive.

According to the lawsuit, plaintiff Pavo Solutions Inc. acquired the '544 patent, "Flash Memory Apparatus Having Single Body Type Rotary Cover", from South Korean company CATR Co.
