Charter cities offer Huntington Beach support in sanctuary state battle

City attorney Michael E. Gates said four charter cities -- Vernon, Gilroy, Needles and Marysville -- have submitted formal amicus letters of support to the court.

The city of Huntington Beach is receiving support in its bid to have the California Supreme Court review its case to be exempted from the state's sanctuary state law.
