Bar’s cut score diversity report continues the debate

The legal community in California would see a big influx of minorities if the cut score to pass the bar exam is lowered, according to a simulation released by the State Bar. But some attorneys and observers said law schools’ and students’ low performance overall is the issue, not race or the cut score, and a lower standard for attorneys would endanger the public.
