Former UC Hastings dean, Frank Wu, named president of Queens College in New York

“To be associated with an institution where many students, even to date, pay nothing to receive a high-quality education, that’s a personal dream,” said Wu, who starts the new job July 1.

Frank H. Wu, former dean and distinguished professor at UC Hastings College of the law, has been appointed president of Queens College in New York by The Board of Trustees of The City University of New York. The news was announced on Monday.

Wu had no intention of pursuing another role within higher education after he stepped down from UC Hastings, he said after the announcement Monday. He is scheduled to start the new job July 1...
