Sacramento Public Library sues foundation using same name

The complaint alleged the foundation “unilaterally terminated its memorandum of understanding with the library in 2015.” Two years later, “without telling its donors,” it changed its articles of incorporation to “allow the foundation to provide support for other community literacy programs,” the complaint alleges.

What's in a name? To the Sacramento Public Library Authority, quite a bit.

The joint powers authority created by the county and six cities has sued the Sacramento Public Library Foundation on the grounds it no longer raises money for the 28-branch Library system.
