Seyfarth Shaw out as attorneys for US Soccer in pay inequality case

All nine attorneys from Seyfarth Shaw have been replaced by Jamie L. Wine and Michele D. Johnson from Latham and Watkins LLP.

Seyfarth Shaw LLP asked a federal court for permission to withdraw from a high profile case involving the U.S. Soccer Federation, following the attorneys’ controversial argument that the federation’s female and male soccer players “do not perform equal work requiring equal skill, effort, and responsibility.”
