Litigators are worried about months-long delay in LA civil trials

LA courts won’t start ramping up until after June 22, attorneys were told in a telephonic briefing Friday and they should not expect trials until August or September.

Attorneys want to know why civil matters can’t proceed telephonically in Los Angeles County as the nearly month-long shutdown of the courts is endangering small and medium-sized firms on both sides of the bar, and the chances of trial are months away.
