US judge postpones Theranos trial until October

“We need to make sure the environment is safe and ensure to our jurors that the court can ensure their safety such that they have confidence in the justice system,” Northern District Judge Edward Davila said Wednesday.

SAN JOSE -- Given uncertainty around court operations and public safety caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the criminal trial of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes will be delayed until at least Oct. 27, a federal judge in San Jose said Wednesday.
