Trade secrets cases stabilize at new, higher level since federal law passed
Trade secrets civil litigation, which skyrocketed between 2015 and 2017 after the passage of the federal Defend Trade Secrets Act, has now settled at that higher level during the couple of years ending in 2019, according to a new study.

That increase has been accompanied by a decline in the number of trade secret misappropriation cases that do not include claims under the federal law, which went into effect in May 2016.
