Law firms may be able to apply for paycheck protection loans

The Small Business Administration reversed course in the new financial aid package, allowing firms to list partner salaries when they applied for relief under the program. But by then, many firms had already applied under the old rules and stood to receive smaller amounts than they might have.

Law firms could to get another crack at federal stimulus funds after President Donald Trump signed a new aid package Friday. But it may still be difficult for firms to get at the money, according to some attorneys who have been watching the roll-out of the Paycheck Protection Program.
