UC Hastings, hotels, restaurants sue San Francisco over Tenderloin conditions

The complaint filed in the Northern District of California alleges multiple violations of constitutional guarantees, including equal protection, due process and the right to the pursuit of happiness.

Hotel and restaurant owners, UC Hastings College of the Law and small businesses sued San Francisco authorities Monday demanding action on tents blocking sidewalks, open-air drug sales, and other unsafe and unsanitary conditions in the Tenderloin District where the plaintiffs are located.
