For the most part, courts have functioned pretty much the same way for centuries, with lawyers, clients, witnesses, judges and court staff congregating in one room. But now, with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and the attendant emphasis on social distancing, that model is under scrutiny. We’ve gotten used to doing things a certain way, but is that a necessity or merely habit?
