Church pastor, gym owner use Newsom’s changing orders to argue for relief

The governor has made several announcements in recent days as the state moves through a phased reopening — one that more businesses and organizations would like to be part of.

A church pastor and a gym owner sued Gov. Gavin Newsom over his coronavirus closure orders, using different versions of the same message: The times they are a-changing.

"That was then, this is now," said one of the plaintiffs' attorneys, Brian R. Chavez-Ochoa.
