California considers adoption of Uniform Bar Exam, despite critics
The Uniform Bar Exam has led to “training of lawyers on matters that bear little relation to the legal issues that they will encounter in practice,” the New York Bar Association said after the test was adopted.




A State Bar commission will investigate whether California should adopt the Uniform Bar Exam, despite criticism by the New York State Bar Association that the exam does not test knowledge of state law.
The establishment of the joint Blue Ribbon Commission on the Future of the California bar exam was approved by the California bar Board of Trustees on May 14. The commission will work in coordination with the California Supreme Court....
