Criminal charges filed against Monterey County restaurant for offering dine-in service

“Defendants’ unlawful conduct gives them an unfair advantage over other similarly situated businesses who are complying with emergency health orders,” the prosecutors said in court filings.

The Monterey County district attorney is seeking to temporarily shut down a Carmel restaurant because its owner is facing criminal charges for resuming table service in violation of county orders.
