Governor’s eviction halt until July 28 is not enough, renter advocates say
The order applies to commercial and residential properties but does not relieve a tenant from the obligation to pay rent, or restrict the landlord’s ability to recover rent that is due. It also requests banks and other financial institutions to halt foreclosures and related evictions during the pandemic.
