Pilgrim’s Pride CEO indicted for alleged chicken price-fixing, other companies subpoenaed

Jayson Penn and former company vice president Roger Austin were indicted in Colorado federal court as part of an ongoing criminal antitrust investigation into chicken processing companies, according to charging documents.

Pilgrim's Pride Corp.'s chief executive officer was charged by the Department of Justice on Wednesday with allegedly conspiring to fix chicken prices.
