DOJ charges mirror Pearson, Simon & Warshaw claims

California plaintiffs’ antitrust powerhouse Pearson, Simon & Warshaw, along with Lockridge Grindal Nauent, sued various chicken producers, including Pilgrim’s Pride Corp., Claxton Poultry Farms and Tyson Foods Inc., in 2016 on identical claims.

Four senior executives at major chicken processing companies were charged with price-fixing as part of an ongoing criminal investigation into the industry first revealed in a civil lawsuit filed by Pearson, Simon & Warshaw and a Minneapolis firm.
