AG rolls out plan for improving public trust in law enforcement

During a virtual press conference, Becerra said a similar agenda developed by the California Department of Justice that seeks to improve use-of-force procedures, identify and address bias in policing and improve accountability and transparency will help rebuild public trust in the criminal justice system if agencies adopt it.

Attorney General Xavier Becerra on Monday urged all state law enforcement agencies to adopt and implement a broad package of proposed changes in police operations before some of them become law next year.
