San Francisco DA sues DoorDash over driver classification

Tuesday’s suit was filed roughly a month and a half after San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera sued Uber and Lyft, also alleging the companies are misclassifying their drivers under AB 5.

Officials ramped up efforts to enforce the state's gig worker law Tuesday, when San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin announced a lawsuit against DoorDash with the author of the bill standing at his side.
