Lyft settles DOJ complaint over some drivers’ treatment of disabled customers

The San Francisco-based company has agreed to revise its wheelchair policies within 30 days and communicate them to new and current drivers, according to the terms of the deal.

Lyft agreed to a settlement Monday with the U.S. Department of Justice, which alleged the ridesharing company violated the Americans with Disabilities Act when some drivers declined to give rides to people with foldable wheelchairs or walkers.
