Bill takes aim at false, race-based police reports
Assemblymember Mark Stone (D-Santa Cruz) on Monday announced an amendment to Assembly Bill 1472 that would make false police reports, including 911 calls, a violation of the Ralph Civil Rights Act of 1976 when the calls are known to be motivated by a person’s race or other protected class.
