Long-awaited decision on bar exam may not ease graduates’ difficulties

Following completion last week of the bar’s assessment of any technical difficulties with the “baby bar” for first-year students in unaccredited programs, which was held online as a test case, it appeared the Supreme Court had the last input needed.

The Supreme Court is expected to deliver a final decision within days on the administration of the bar exam in the fall, according to the State Bar.

"I understand that the Supreme Court expects to make its decision next week," bar spokeswoman Teresa Ruano said in an email Friday. "There's also an agenda item for next Thursday's [State Bar] Board of Trustees meeting during which the bar exam is scheduled to be discussed."
