Big-name lawyers fight to wipe out one of Michael Avenatti’s last big trial wins
In his bid to overturn or reduce a punitive damages award in a class verdict against Kimberly-Clark Corp., Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP partner Theodore J. Boutrous Jr. invoked the name of the victorious and now-disgraced trial attorney Michael J. Avenatti to argue the trial was wrongly decided.
