As law professors prepare for online lectures, some students want their money back

Three students from Santa Clara University School of Law filed suit in federal court in San Jose seeking partial tuition refunds after the school moved online in March.

As law schools prepare to resume lectures for the fall semester, professors have spent the summer adapting to online classes. But fears of a subpar education have already spurred lawsuits from students.

At Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law, first-year students will start listening to lectures n Aug. 14, with upper division classes beginning Aug. 17.
