Judge orders old class counsel to stay away from new class counsel and family

Judge Elihu M. Berle, who is overseeing a $67 million Department of Water and Power settlement that is under investigation for possible fraud, granted Brian S. Kabateck's request for the temporary restraining order against Michael J. Libman.

LOS ANGELES -- A superior court judge issued a restraining order Monday against a previous liaison class counsel involved in Los Angeles' high-profile water utility litigation after the attorney refused to stay away from the home of the new class counsel.
