Landlords run into obstacles in fight over city and county eviction bans
An attorney for landlords said he plans to appeal a superior court judge’s ruling rejecting their challenge to a San Francisco ordinance that blocks them from evicting tenants for failing to pay rent during the emergency declared in February by Mayor London Breed.





Despite early setbacks, including one this week, landlord organizations across the state are battling back against city ordinances that indefinitely bar property owners from evicting tenants for nonpayment of rent due to COVID-19-related business shutdowns.
