Judge says Ventura County can halt church’s indoor services, restrict outdoor worship

Ventura County Judge Matthew P. Guasco, in finding constitutional rights to the free practice of religion must be consistent with the public's health, disagreed with the First Amendment argument of Thousand Oaks church Godspeak Calvary Chapel.

A superior court judge granted a temporary restraining order against a Ventura County church, agreeing local officials could stop the members from holding religious services indoors and restrict their outdoor worship activities.
