No evidence of damages in false advertising case, judge says

Siemens Medical Solutions scored a victory in a false advertising lawsuit relating to Graves' disease-detecting blood tests filed by plaintiff Quidel Corporation. Quidel is a diagnostic healthcare manufacturer who sued Siemens for false advertising associated with their competing blood tests that detect Graves' disease. U.S. Judge Cynthia A. Bashant sided with Siemens and granted its motion for summary judgment, ruling Quidel didn't produce any evidence it suffered any damages from the alleged advertising.

Finding no evidence for damages, a federal judge in San Diego threw out a false advertisement lawsuit filed by a diagnostic healthcare manufacturer against Siemens Medical Solutions relating to blood tests that help detect Graves' disease.
