A compassionate mentor who prided herself on teaching young attorneys how to be tough but fair prosecutors, Trinity County District Attorney Donna M. Daly's career spanned more than three decades and six California counties.
Daly, who prosecuted some of Northern California's most dangerous criminals and was one of the first DAs in the state to introduce DNA evidence at trial, died in a car crash Friday night. She was 63.
