3 firms sue over $120M San Diego lease-to-own land deal

Three powerhouse plaintiff firms are teaming up to help the City of San Diego get out of what they call the "worst land deal ever" lease-to-own agreement for a downtown high-rise building once operated by Sempra Energy that they say is riddled with asbestos and faulty lighting, plumbing, electrical issues.

A trio of plaintiff firms are seeking to recover millions of taxpayer dollars in what they call the "worst land deal ever," in San Diego, according to a lawsuit filed Monday alleging fraud and waste of taxpayer funds.
