LA County fails 3rd time to stop church’s indoor services

“The only order the county could argue the church was violating was a county health order, so contempt was not an appropriate remedy,” Paul M. Jonna, name partner at LiMandri and Jonna LLC in Rancho Santa Fe and special counsel for the defense, said after the hearing.

Los Angeles County suffered another blow to its COVID-19 enforcement efforts Thursday when Superior Court Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff announced there was no court order preventing pastor John MacArthur from holding indoor services at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley and denied a request to find them in contempt of court.
