Landlords can't force tenants locked into residential lease agreements into arbitration to resolve disputes, a panel of the 2nd District Court of Appeal ruled.

The decision stems from a dispute involving five tenants who sued J.K. Residential Inc. over claims of bedbugs. The property owner filed a motion to compel arbitration, citing provisions in the lease agreements. Los Angeles County Judge $95
