Judge mulls order over winding down of census count
Convening an emergency hearing Friday, U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh considered whether to issue a temporary restraining order after the Justice Department told her the government has “begun taking steps to conclude field operations” and that any attempt to stop those efforts “could not be implemented at this point without significant costs and burdens.”
