San Bernardino County charter school sues network over allocation of funds

Provenance, formerly known as Inspire Charter Schools, "caused various assets and personnel to be distributed among the schools it incorporated, yet it failed to clearly document these assignments," said the complaint filed in Los Angeles.

A San Bernardino County charter school has sued Thursday a charter school network, alleging it stole more than $5 million in state educational funds by commingling assets and liabilities among schools.

Granite Mountain Charter School alleged in the suit filed Thursday by Marc Greenberg of Tucker Ellis LLP that the network called Provenance commingled the assets of various schools with which they were working and misallocated funds...
