Progressive DAs launch alternative to DA association

The nascent Prosecutors Alliance of California, consisting of three current progressive DAs, said they want to challenge the political power of law enforcement and the existing California District Attorneys Association.

Three progressive district attorneys who are creating a lobbying organization to challenge the political power of the existing statewide prosecutors' association on Tuesday refused twice to answer specific questions about how the venture would be funded, particularly whether liberal New York billionaire George Soros has contributed.
