Justice Gorsuch’s support for legal paraprofessionals gets mixed reviews in California
In August, several nonprofit firms wrote a letter to the State Bar, arguing that allowing unlicensed practitioners to represent litigants in debt-related matters would widen the justice gap, not close it.





U.S. Supreme Court Justice Neil M. Gorsuch has come out in support of allowing paraprofessionals to provide limited legal services and have an economic interest in law firms.
In an op-ed published by USA Today on Thursday, Gorsuch and Rebecca Love Kourlis, a former Colorado Supreme Court justice, praised Arizona and Utah for taking these steps to increase access to justice.
