San Francisco DA to work with volunteer Innocence Commission to review past convictions
The commission will evaluate available evidence in cases where an incarcerated person asserts they were wrongfully convicted and then vote on whether to recommend that DA Chesa Boudin seek to vacate the conviction.




San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin said Thursday he will form a post-conviction unit within his office consisting of a group of prosecutors who will work with a new, volunteer Innocence Commission to review legally questionable convictions.
