A Sacramento judge finalized a $116 settlement between AT&T Inc. and Verizon Communications Inc. and nearly 300 government entities in California on Thursday.
The payment stems from years of overcharging for wireless services in breach of contracts by the companies. AT&T will pay $47.9 million and Verizon will pay $68.2 million.
