Gun owners, sellers can pursue injunction against state assault weapon laws
In an 11-page order on Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Roger T. Benitez of the Southern District of California held that plaintiffs have standing on each of their claims due to the criminal penalties they could face for possessing what he called “popular guns owned and kept by numerous law-abiding citizens for manifold lawful purposes.”
