LA judge tries to convince removed class counsel he has no more authority

“You do not have any responsibilities to supervise the new class counsel or to litigate against him in these proceedings,” Superior Court Judge Elihu M. Berle told the former liaison counsel in a $67 million faulty water billing case.

The Los Angeles judge overseeing the $67 million Department of Water and Power settlement litigation was at pains this week to convince the removed class counsel that he has no more authority.
