2 accused of arson in LA are among 300 people federal prosecutors have charged in civil disorder cases

The charges filed by more than 40 U.S. Attorneys range from arson and attempted murder to assaulting law enforcement officers and felony civil disorder, according to a Department of Justice statement.

Two suspects charged with setting Los Angeles area restaurants on fire "under the guise of peaceful demonstrations" in the aftermath of the George Floyd killing are among nearly 300 people facing similar federal charges in 29 states, the U.S. Department of Justice announced.
