San Francisco city attorney files civil injunctions against accused drug dealers

The injunctions will have civil and criminal consequences. Violations will result in up to a $6,000 fine and can also be criminally charged by the district attorney’s office as misdemeanors, said City Attorney Dennis Herrera.

Nearly 30 people who have been previously arrested for selling dangerous drugs in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood will face civil injunctions and fines if they enter the roughly 50-square-block area that's been plagued by overdose deaths in recent years, according to City Attorney Dennis Herrera.
