In deal with US Labor Department, Sidley agrees to diversity measures in LA
The federal agency's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs alleged that Sidley Austin's New York and Los Angeles offices failed to track race, ethnicity and gender data related to summer associate positions and promotion records under equal employment opportunity laws.




Sidley Austin LLP's Los Angeles office will offer scholarships and paid internship positions to increase diversity and inclusion as part of a settlement with the U.S. Department of Labor.
"We are pleased to have reached a resolution of all issues raised after a compliance review conducted by the OFCCP [Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs]," a Sidley Austin spokesman said in a statement.
