Employees at LAX allege owed wages after pandemic layoffs

The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleges food and beverage company Host International laid off a number of employees at the airport in March and April, and failed to immediately pay them their owed wages in accordance with the state labor code.

Restaurant and concession employees at Los Angeles International Airport have filed a proposed class action against their employer, alleging it failed to pay them owed wages after laying them off - a move one of the employees' attorneys says has grown more common with the pandemic.
