25 states oppose tentative Purdue Pharma bankruptcy deal
Part of the deal would preserve Purdue’s OxyContin business as a public trust so it can meet obligations such as paying its liabilities to states and other plaintiffs and delivering treatments for opioid addiction.




Xavier Becerra joined 24 other state attorneys general in a letter to U.S. Attorney General William Barr on Wednesday asking him to change a key provision of a bankruptcy settlement with Purdue Pharma LP.
