Bar preparation firms adjust to teaching for remote exams
“A lot of our approaches were geared toward the exam being a paper exam,” said Matthew Bates, owner of SmartBarPrep. “Even when you had a computer in previous exams, for the essays students were given scrap paper to work.”




Bar preparation companies have thought of new ways to prepare applicants for another online test, as the National Conference of Bar Examiners announced it would provide exam materials for a remote exam in February.
After it became clear that a large-scale, in-person exam would not be possible in July due to the pandemic, the State Bar postponed it twice before scheduling it online Oct. 5-6.
