State violates contracts, requires COVID test payment, suit says

The pandemic has sparked suits by insurers around the country that claim states are interfering with contracts through emergency orders.

The state unconstitutionally violated health care contracts by requiring medical plans to cover the cost of COVID testing, according to a lawsuit against the California Department of Managed Health Care.
