DOJ suit says Facebook is discriminating against US workers

Filed Thursday with the Office of the Chief Administrative Hearing Officer, the lawsuit follows an investigation the Department of Justice launched in 2018 to determine whether Facebook was engaging in unfair hiring practices based on citizenship or immigration status.

Two days after a federal judge struck down two Trump administration rules that aimed to restrict eligibility for the H-1B visa program, the U.S. Department of Justice alleged in a new lawsuit that Facebook has been discriminating against American workers by favoring H-1B visa holders.
